Getting There

  • Car

    From Zaanse Schans, head southeast on the N8 road towards Amsterdam. Follow the A8 highway towards Amsterdam for approximately 10 km, then merge onto the A10 ring road. Take exit 14 towards S112, then continue on the S112. Follow signs for Amstel and you will reach Amstel 51, where the Amsterdam Museum is located. Parking is available nearby, but expect to pay around €5-€6 per hour.

    From Zaanse Schans, walk to the Zaandijk Zaanse Schans train station (approximately 10 minutes). Take a train towards Amsterdam Central Station. The journey takes about 17 minutes. Once at Amsterdam Central, transfer to tram line 14 or walk for about 20 minutes to reach the Amsterdam Museum at Amstel 51.
