Car
If you are driving from Zaanstreek to Westermarkt in Amsterdam, take the A8 highway towards Amsterdam. After approximately 15 kilometers, merge onto the A10 ring road (exit 3). Continue on the A10 until you reach exit 14 for S116 towards Amsterdam-Centrum. Follow signs for Amsterdam-Centrum and continue on the S116. Once you are close to the city center, follow the signs for 'Centrum' and park in one of the nearby parking garages, such as Q-Park Amsterdam Centraal. From the parking garage, it's about a 15-minute walk to Westermarkt.

Public Transportation
To reach Westermarkt via public transportation, start by taking a train from Zaanstreek to Amsterdam Centraal Station. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Centraal, exit the station and head to the bus or tram stops outside. Take tram line 13 or 17 heading towards 'Westermarkt' or 'Zeedijk'. The tram ride will take around 10 minutes. Get off at the Westermarkt stop, and you will find yourself in the town square.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike in Zaanstreek and follow the dedicated bike paths towards Amsterdam. The ride to Westermarkt will take approximately 30-40 minutes, depending on your pace. Head towards the A8 and follow the bike-friendly routes. Once you reach Amsterdam, continue cycling towards the city center, using the bike lanes available. There are bike parking facilities near Westermarkt.
