Car
From South Lake Tahoe, take US-50 E towards Stateline. After about 12 miles, merge onto CA-89 N towards Tahoe City. Continue on CA-89 N for approximately 10 miles. Look for signs for the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion, which is located at 0.5 miles past Tahoma on the left. There is parking available at the mansion, but be aware there may be a fee during peak season.
Public Transportation (Bus)
Take the BlueGo public bus service from various locations around Lake Tahoe. Board the bus heading towards Tahoma, which operates on a limited schedule. Check the BlueGo website for current routes and timetables. Once you arrive in Tahoma, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to reach Hellman-Ehrman Mansion. The path is along the scenic CA-89.
Bicycle
If you are feeling adventurous, consider biking to Hellman-Ehrman Mansion. Rent a bike from a local rental shop in South Lake Tahoe and take the scenic route along CA-89. The ride is approximately 12 miles and offers beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws. There is bike parking available at the mansion.
