Car
If you are driving from downtown Portsmouth, head south on Islington St toward the US-1 Bypass. Merge onto the US-1 Bypass and continue for approximately 2 miles. Take the exit toward NH-1A/New Castle. Merge onto NH-1A and follow it for about 3 miles. Turn left onto Wentworth Rd, and you will see the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse at the end of the road, located at the Coast Guard Station.

Public Transportation
To reach the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse using public transportation, start at the Portsmouth Transportation Center. Take the COAST bus number 40 (Portsmouth to New Castle) which heads to New Castle. Get off at the New Castle Town Hall stop. From there, walk east on Main St, then turn left onto Wentworth Rd. Follow Wentworth Rd until you reach the Portsmouth Harbor Lighthouse at the Coast Guard Station.
