Car
If you are driving to the Fruit Street Sitting Area in Brooklyn, NY, start by heading to the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge entrance. Merge onto I-287 S and continue for about 6 miles. Take the exit for I-78 E toward Staten Island. Merge onto the New Jersey Turnpike (I-95) and continue northeast for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 15E toward the Holland Tunnel, and proceed through the tunnel into Manhattan. Follow signs for I-495 E and then merge onto FDR Drive. Continue south and take the exit toward Brooklyn Bridge. Cross the Brooklyn Bridge, and once you reach the end, follow the signs for Cadman Plaza E. Continue onto Cadman Plaza S, then turn left onto Henry Street. Follow this until you reach the Promenade, where you will find the Fruit Street Sitting Area.

Public Transportation
To reach the Fruit Street Sitting Area via public transportation, start at the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Take the NJ Transit bus (Route 70) to the Morristown train station. From Morristown, take the train on the Morris & Essex Line toward New York Penn Station. At Penn Station, transfer to the LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) and take the train towards Atlantic Terminal. Once you arrive at Atlantic Terminal, exit the station and take the subway. Board the R train toward Bay Ridge-95th Street and get off at Court Street. From Court Street, it's a short walk to the Promenade. Head east on Montague Street and then take a right onto the Promenade to reach the Fruit Street Sitting Area.
