Public Transit - Bus
From downtown Paterson, walk to the nearest bus stop on Broadway. Take the NJ Transit Bus 190 towards New York Port Authority. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop at 42nd St. and 8th Ave. From there, transfer to the subway and take the A or C line downtown to Canal St. Station. Once you exit, walk east on Canal St. until you reach Orchard St. Turn left on Orchard St. and walk north for a few blocks until you reach 103 Orchard St, where the Tenement Museum is located.

Public Transit - Train
Head to the Paterson Train Station and take the NJ Transit train on the North Jersey Coast Line towards New York Penn Station. The journey should take about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Penn Station, exit the station and head to 34th St. to catch the subway. Take the N, Q, R, or W line downtown to Canal St. Station. After exiting, walk east on Canal St. to Orchard St. Turn left on Orchard St. and proceed north to 103 Orchard St for the Tenement Museum.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to explore the city, you can walk to the nearest NJ Transit train station, which is about a 20-minute walk from the center of Paterson. From there, take a train to New York Penn Station. Upon arrival, you can walk to the Tenement Museum. Exit the station and head towards 34th St. Walk downtown to Canal St. and then east to Orchard St. This walking route will take approximately 20 minutes from the subway.
