    From Carlsbad Caverns National Park Visitor Center, exit the park and head south on NM-7. Continue on NM-7 until you reach US-62/180 E. Turn right onto US-62/180 E and continue for about 20 miles. As you approach Carlsbad, take the exit for US-285 S. Continue on US-285 S for about 2 miles, then take the exit toward W Fox St. Merge onto W Fox St, then turn left onto N 8th St. Continue on N 8th St for a short distance (about 0.5 miles), and you will find the New Mexico Official Scenic Historic Markers at 515 N 8th St, Carlsbad, NM 88220.
