Car
From Carlsbad Caverns National Park Visitor Center, exit the park and head south on NM-7. Continue on NM-7 until you reach US-62/180 E. Turn right onto US-62/180 E and continue for about 20 miles. As you approach Carlsbad, take the exit for US-285 S. Continue on US-285 S for about 2 miles, then take the exit toward W Fox St. Merge onto W Fox St, then turn left onto N 8th St. Continue on N 8th St for a short distance (about 0.5 miles), and you will find the New Mexico Official Scenic Historic Markers at 515 N 8th St, Carlsbad, NM 88220.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, first take the Bus Route 1 from the Carlsbad Caverns National Park Visitor Center to the Carlsbad main transit hub. From there, transfer to Bus Route 2, which heads toward downtown Carlsbad. Get off at the stop closest to N 8th St (you may need to ask the driver for the nearest stop). Walk north on N 8th St for a few blocks, and you will arrive at the New Mexico Official Scenic Historic Markers located at 515 N 8th St, Carlsbad, NM 88220. Please check the local transit schedule for bus times and possible fare costs.
