Experience Bandelier National Monument Visitor Center

Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Los Alamos, head south on Central Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Diamond Drive. Turn left onto Diamond Drive, and follow it for about 1.5 miles. You will pass the Los Alamos Nature Center on your left. Continue on Diamond Drive until you see the signs for Bandelier National Monument. At the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on NM-501. Follow this road for about 2.5 miles until you arrive at the entrance to Bandelier National Monument Visitor Center, located at 15 Entrance Rd. The Visitor Center will be on your left.

  • Biking

    If you're biking from Los Alamos, start at the Los Alamos County Municipal Building located at 1000 Central Avenue. Head south on Central Avenue and turn left onto Diamond Drive. Continue biking down Diamond Drive for approximately 1.5 miles. You will pass the Los Alamos Nature Center on your left. Keep following Diamond Drive, and as you approach the roundabout, take the second exit to remain on NM-501. Continue for about 2.5 miles until you see the entrance to Bandelier National Monument on your left at 15 Entrance Rd.
