Bus
From the Taos town center, walk to the Taos Transit Center located at 1200 Mabel Dodge Ln, Taos, NM 87571. Once you arrive at the Transit Center, take the 'Taos to Eagle Nest' bus line. Make sure to check the schedule in advance, as the bus may not run frequently. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes. After arriving in Eagle Nest, disembark at the Eagle Nest stop and walk approximately 0.5 miles northeast to reach the Eagle Nest Lake State Park Campgrounds.

Bicycle
If you’re feeling adventurous and would like to bike, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Taos. Head to the north on NM-68 N from the town center for about 18 miles. After reaching the junction with NM-64, turn right and continue for about 8 miles until you see signs for Eagle Nest Lake State Park Campgrounds. Follow the signs to the campground entrance.

Walking
While walking is not feasible for the entire distance to Eagle Nest Lake, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the Taos Ski Valley area and then take the bus to Eagle Nest. Walk to the Taos Ski Valley shuttle stop from the center of Taos, catch the bus to the Ski Valley, and then transfer to the bus heading to Eagle Nest at the ski area. This option allows you to enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
