    From the White Sands National Park visitor center, exit the park and head southeast on US-70 E for approximately 16 miles. Take the exit for NM-185 S toward Las Cruces. Continue on NM-185 S for about 6 miles until you reach the intersection with Dripping Springs Road. Turn left onto Dripping Springs Road and follow it for about 2 miles to arrive at Dripping Springs Natural Area, located at 15000 Dripping Springs Rd, Las Cruces, NM 88011. There is no entrance fee for Dripping Springs Natural Area.

    There are limited public transportation options available from White Sands National Park to Dripping Springs Natural Area. You can take the RoadRUNNER Transit Bus from the Las Cruces area to get closer to Dripping Springs. First, you would need to arrange transportation to Las Cruces, as there is no direct bus service from White Sands to Dripping Springs. Once in Las Cruces, take the Route 1 bus toward the Mesilla Valley Mall, and then transfer to Route 2 towards the University.
