    Start at the White Sands Visitor Center located at 19955 Highway 70, Alamogordo, NM 88310. Head east on Highway 70 for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with the entrance to White Sands National Park. Enter the park and continue straight on Dunes Drive for approximately 8 miles. As you approach the park exit, there will be a sign for White Sands Missile Range. Follow the sign and take the exit onto the road leading to the missile range. After another 2 miles, look for signage indicating the Volunteer Park Travel Campsite. The campsite is located just off the main road.

    Begin at the White Sands Visitor Center. Rent a bike if you don't have one. Cycle east on Highway 70, keeping a lookout for the entrance to White Sands National Park. Once inside the park, continue biking straight down Dunes Drive for about 8 miles. After reaching the end of Dunes Drive, follow the sign to the White Sands Missile Range. Continue on the road for another 2 miles, and you will see the signs for Volunteer Park Travel Campsite on your right.
