Metro
From White Plains, head to the White Plains Metro-North train station located at 1 Railroad Ave. Take the Harlem Line towards Grand Central Terminal. The train ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Grand Central, exit the station and follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit.

Walking
After exiting Grand Central Terminal, walk east on 42nd Street towards 1st Avenue. Turn left on 1st Avenue and continue walking north. You will reach the United Nations Headquarters Visitor Check-in Office at 801 1st Ave. in approximately 15 minutes.

From White Plains, you can also take the Bee-Line Bus #20 towards the Bronx. Get off at the 42nd Street at 1st Avenue stop. From there, walk north on 1st Avenue, and you will find the United Nations Headquarters Visitor Check-in Office at 801 1st Ave.
