Public Transport
From Greenwich, head to the Greenwich Metro-North train station located at 2 Railroad Ave, Greenwich, CT 06830. Take the New Haven Line train towards New York City (Grand Central Terminal). Once you arrive at Grand Central Terminal, transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing - Main St. Get off at the 42nd St - Times Square station and transfer to the 1 train towards South Ferry. Ride the 1 train to the 34th St - Penn Station. From Penn Station, exit and walk to the Port Authority Bus Terminal located at 625 8th Ave, New York, NY 10018. From there, take the MTA Bus Q102 towards Astoria Boulevard and get off at the 2nd Avenue & 60th Street stop. Finally, transfer to the Roosevelt Island Tram from 2nd Avenue & 60th Street, which will take you directly to Roosevelt Island. The Franklin D. Roosevelt Four Freedoms State Park is a short walk from the tram station.
