Subway
From Yonkers, head to the Yonkers Metro-North Railroad Station. Take the Hudson Line train towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the 125th Street Station in Manhattan. Once you arrive, transfer to the 4, 5, or 6 subway lines at the 125th Street Station. Take the 4 or 5 train downtown to the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall Station or the 6 train to the Bleecker Street Station. From either station, walk east towards Orchard Street. The Tenement Museum is located at 103 Orchard Street, New York, NY 10002. It is a short walk from either subway stop.

Bus
From any central location in Yonkers, find a nearby bus stop for the Bee-Line Bus System. Take the BxM4C express bus towards Manhattan (via I-87). Get off at the stop at 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue. From there, transfer to the M15 bus towards South Ferry. Ride the M15 until you reach the stop at Delancey Street/Essex Street. From there, walk north on Essex Street, turn left on Houston Street, and then right on Orchard Street. The Tenement Museum will be on your right at 103 Orchard Street.

Walking
If you are staying in central Yonkers, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards the Tenement Museum. Head east towards the Hudson River, then follow the shoreline path south until you reach the Yonkers Metro-North Railroad Station. From there, you can catch a train to Manhattan as described above, or continue your walk along the waterfront, eventually making your way to the subway stations mentioned. This route is approximately 6 miles and may take about 2 hours to walk.
