Public Transit
From Yonkers, walk to the Yonkers Metro-North train station located at 1 Hudson Street. Take the train on the New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 25 minutes, transfer at the Huntington station. Once you arrive at Huntington station, exit the platform and walk towards the parking lot exit. From the station, take the Suffolk County Transit bus route S1 towards Huntington Village. Get off at the 'Prime Ave & Main St' stop, which is a short walk from The Heckscher Museum of Art at 2 Prime Ave.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in Yonkers. Head east on the South Broadway towards the Saw Mill River Parkway. Take the bike path along the river and follow it north until you reach the junction with Route 110. Continue on Route 110, which will take you directly to Huntington. The museum is located just off Prime Ave, so follow the signs to the museum once you approach the downtown area.

Walking
If you are feeling adventurous and enjoy walking, you can take a scenic route along the Hudson River. Start from the Yonkers waterfront and walk north along the riverfront park. This will take you to the vicinity of the Tarrytown area. From there, you can follow walking paths or sidewalks leading towards Route 110. This will ultimately bring you to Huntington, though be prepared for a long walk, as it is over 15 miles. Once in Huntington, ask locals for directions to 2 Prime Ave for The Heckscher Museum of Art.
