Walking
Start at the Dunedin Railway Station, a central landmark. From the station, walk east on Anzac Avenue for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Moray Place. Turn left onto Moray Place and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Stuart Street. Cross Stuart Street and continue straight onto Rattray Street. After 300 meters, turn right onto High Street. Walk up High Street, which will lead you into the Belleknowes area, where the Historic Cable Car Cutting is located. The cutting is a short distance ahead on your right, just past the Belleknowes Golf Course.

Catch the Bus 16 or 17 from the Dunedin City Centre (look for stops along George Street). It takes about 15-20 minutes to reach Belleknowes. Ask the driver to let you off at the Belleknowes Golf Course stop. Once you get off, walk back down High Street for about 100 meters. The Historic Cable Car Cutting will be located on your left.
