If you are traveling by car, start from the Fox Glacier village center. Head south on State Highway 6 (SH6) for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach a fork. Take the left fork onto Mount Fox Road. Drive along this road for about 5 kilometers, where you'll find the Mount Fox Route trailhead on your right. Look for the sign marking the trailhead. Parking is available at the trailhead.

If you are staying in the Fox Glacier village and prefer to walk, you can reach the trailhead on foot, although it's a bit of a trek. From the village center, head south on SH6, then take a left onto Mount Fox Road. Walk along Mount Fox Road for approximately 5 kilometers. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear and carry water, as this will be a long walk. The trailhead will be on your right-hand side.
