Once you reach the intersection, turn left onto Childers Road. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Lytton Road. Turn right onto Lytton Road and walk for another 300 meters. You will see Waiteata Park on your left side, located at Whataupoko, Gisborne 4010.

    From the Gisborne i-Site Visitor Centre, head to the nearest bus stop on Childers Road. Take the bus route towards the Whataupoko area. Get off at the Whataupoko stop, which is a short walk from Waiteata Park. Follow the signs leading to Waiteata Park, and you will arrive at your destination within a few minutes.

  • Bicycle

    If you have rented a bicycle, start from the Gisborne city center and head towards Grey Street. Ride along Grey Street until you reach Childers Road. Turn left onto Childers Road and follow it straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. When you reach Lytton Road, turn right and continue for about 300 meters. Waiteata Park will be on your left. There are bike racks available for you to lock your bicycle.
