If you are in Gisborne's city center, start at the Gisborne i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 1 Grey Street. Head east on Grey Street towards the Tairawhiti Museum, which will be on your left. Continue straight until you reach the waterfront on The Esplanade. Turn left onto The Esplanade and walk along the waterfront for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the sign for Shed 3; Waka Voyagers Tairawhiti is located at Shed 3, Floor 1/50 The Esplanade, Inner Kaiti. The journey should take approximately 20-25 minutes on foot.
