From the center of Greymouth, head south on Mackay Street towards the Grey River. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Boundary Street. Turn left onto Boundary Street and proceed. After about 500 meters, you will reach the intersection with Tainui Street. Turn right onto Tainui Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and walk for about 300 meters. You will see Driftwood House on your right at H54V+R4. Look for the distinctive signage.

Starting from the Greymouth i-SITE Visitor Centre, rent a bicycle and head south on the cycle path along the Grey River. Follow the path which will connect to Boundary Street. Once on Boundary Street, continue until you reach Tainui Street, where you will turn right. Then, follow Tainui Street until it intersects with High Street. Turn left onto High Street and keep an eye out for Driftwood House about 300 meters ahead on your right.
