Walking
Start at the Greymouth i-SITE Visitor Centre located at 16 Mackay Street. From the i-SITE, head east on Mackay Street towards the intersection with Tainui Street. Turn left onto Tainui Street and continue until you reach the traffic lights at the intersection with State Highway 6. Cross the street at the traffic lights and continue along Tainui Street, which becomes Cobden Road as you walk out of the town center. Follow Cobden Road until you reach the Cobden Bridge. Cross the bridge, and once on the other side, continue straight onto the Northern Breakwater Road. Follow this road until you reach Northern Breakwater - Shipwreck Point.

Bicycling
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Greymouth i-SITE Visitor Centre. Rent a bike if necessary. From the i-SITE, cycle east on Mackay Street towards Tainui Street. Turn left onto Tainui Street, then continue to the traffic lights at State Highway 6. Cross at the lights and keep cycling along Tainui Street, which will turn into Cobden Road. Continue biking along Cobden Road until you reach the Cobden Bridge. After crossing the bridge, stay on Northern Breakwater Road, which will lead you directly to Northern Breakwater - Shipwreck Point.

While there is no direct public transport to Northern Breakwater - Shipwreck Point, you can take a bus from the Greymouth Bus Depot to Cobden. Check the local bus schedules and get off at the nearest stop to Cobden Road. From there, walk towards Cobden Bridge and continue onto Northern Breakwater Road.
