If you're coming from Greymouth, head south on State Highway 6 (SH6) for about 3 kilometers. As you approach Cobden, take the exit toward Nelson Quay. Continue straight onto Nelson Quay, and after approximately 1 kilometer, you will find Cobden Canals on your left at 31 Nelson Quay. Look for the signs indicating the nature preserve.

Catch a local bus from Greymouth to Cobden. The bus will drop you off near the town center. From there, head west on Bright Street, which turns into Nelson Quay. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer, and you will reach Cobden Canals at 31 Nelson Quay. Look for the entrance to the nature preserve on your left side.
