Car
If you're driving from Blenheim, take State Highway 1 (SH1) northbound towards Picton. After approximately 30 minutes, take the exit towards State Highway 6 (SH6) towards Nelson. Continue on SH6 until you reach Havelock. From Havelock, follow the signs to Pelorus Sound, and turn onto Pelorus Road. After about 15 minutes, you will arrive in Tiraora Bay. The sanctuary is located at the end of Tiraora Bay Road.

To reach Tira Ora Nature and Wildlife Sanctuary using public transport, take a bus from Blenheim to Havelock. Buses run several times a day. Once in Havelock, you can either take a taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to Tiraora Bay, as public transportation does not directly service Tiraora Bay.
