Once you arrive in Kaikohe, look for Recreation Road. Turn onto Recreation Road and continue for about 1 kilometer. Pioneer Village Kaikohe will be on your left at 1A Recreation Road. There is free parking available on-site.

To reach Pioneer Village Kaikohe via public transportation, you can take a bus to Kaikohe from various locations in Northland. The bus services are operated by Intercity or local services. Once you arrive at the Kaikohe bus station, you can either walk to Pioneer Village (approximately a 20-minute walk, around 1.5 km) or take a taxi. If walking, exit the bus station and head southwest on State Highway 12, then turn left onto Recreation Road. Pioneer Village will be on your left at 1A Recreation Road. Taxi fares from the bus station to Pioneer Village will vary, so it’s best to check with local taxi services.

For adventurous travelers, biking to Pioneer Village Kaikohe is an option if you are nearby. Kaikohe is relatively flat and bike-friendly. You can rent a bike from local rental shops. If you're biking from the Kaikohe town center, head northwest on State Highway 12 and then take a left onto Recreation Road. The distance is about 1.5 km which should take around 10 minutes by bike.
