From Paihia, walk to the Paihia Wharf located at the end of Marsden Road. There, you will find the ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for the short ferry ride to Russell. The ferry departs regularly, so check the schedule for the next available departure. Once you arrive at Russell, disembark and head towards York Street. The Russell Public Library is located at 2 York Street, just a short 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal. Head left on York Street, and you will find the library on your right.

If you are up for a scenic walk, start from Paihia and head towards the beach. Follow the coastline along the walking path that leads to Russell. The walk is approximately 10 kilometers and will take about 2.5 to 3 hours, offering stunning views of the Bay of Islands. Once you reach Russell, navigate to York Street where the library is located at 2 York Street.
