Start your journey at the Paihia Wharf. From the wharf, head towards the main road, Marsden Road. Walk along Marsden Road heading north until you reach the intersection with Paihia-Opua Road. Continue walking straight, and after about 1 km, you will reach a bus stop. Here, you can catch the local bus service towards Russell if available. If you prefer to walk, continue on Paihia-Opua Road for approximately 3 km until you reach the Tapeka Point Road turnoff on your left.

Once you turn onto Tapeka Point Road, follow it for about 1 km. This road will lead you towards Tapeka View Point. The path may be a bit steep in some areas, so wear appropriate footwear. As you walk, enjoy the scenic views of the bay on your left. Continue until you see signs for Tapeka View Point, which will guide you to the viewpoint.
