Start at the Queenstown Bus Terminal on Camp Street. Catch the 'Queenstown to Frankton' bus (Route 1) and ride it to the Frankton bus stop. From there, transfer to the 'Frankton to Arrowtown' bus (Route 3) and stay on until you reach the Lake Hayes bus stop. Once you get off, walk towards Lake Hayes for about 10 minutes until you reach the Lake Hayes Lookout trailhead.
