Public Bus
Start at the Queenstown Bus Terminal on Camp Street. Catch the 'Queenstown to Frankton' bus (Route 1) and ride it to the Frankton bus stop. From there, transfer to the 'Frankton to Arrowtown' bus (Route 3) and stay on until you reach the Lake Hayes bus stop. Once you get off, walk towards Lake Hayes for about 10 minutes until you reach the Lake Hayes Lookout trailhead.

Bicycle
Begin your journey at the Queenstown Gardens. Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops. Head towards the Frankton Track, which is well-marked. Follow the track along the lakefront, enjoying the beautiful views. Continue on the path until you reach the intersection with the Lake Hayes Road. Turn left onto Lake Hayes Road, and after a short ride, you will see signs for the Lake Hayes Lookout trail. Park your bike and hike up the trail to the lookout point.

Walking
From the center of Queenstown, walk to the Queenstown Gardens and follow the path leading to the Frankton Track. Walk along the Frankton Track towards Frankton. After about 30-40 minutes of walking, you will reach the Lake Hayes Road intersection. Turn left onto Lake Hayes Road. Continue walking for about 20 minutes until you see the sign for the Lake Hayes Lookout trail on your left. Follow the trail up to the lookout.
