    If you're starting from Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre at 1170 Fenton Street, head south towards the intersection with Arawa Street. Turn left onto Arawa Street and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach Queens Drive. Turn right onto Queens Drive. Government Gardens will be on your left after a short walk of approximately 300 meters. The entrance is marked and easy to spot.

    From Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Fenton Street and Arawa Street. Catch bus route 1 or route 2 heading towards Ngongotaha. Disembark at the stop on Queens Drive, which is approximately a 5-minute ride. From the bus stop, walk about 200 meters back towards the entrance of Government Gardens, which will be on your right side.

    If you have a bike, start from the Rotorua i-SITE Visitor Centre and head south on Fenton Street. Turn left onto Arawa Street and bike for about 500 meters until you reach Queens Drive.
