    If you are traveling by car, start from New Plymouth, the largest city in Taranaki. Head south on State Highway 3 (SH3) towards Hāwera. Continue on SH3 for approximately 60 kilometers until you reach the Hāwera roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto State Highway 45 (SH45), which will lead you towards Waihi Beach. Follow SH45 for about 15 kilometers, and then take the right turn onto Waihi Beach Road. Continue straight until you reach the beach. Parking is available at the beach area; however, be mindful of parking fees if applicable.

    For those using public transportation, take a bus from New Plymouth to Hāwera. The bus service is operated by the Taranaki Regional Council.
