    From Taupo town center, head southeast on Tongariro Street towards Ruapehu Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Lake Terrace. Turn right onto Lake Terrace and follow it until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto State Highway 1 (SH1) heading towards Rotorua. Continue on SH1 for approximately 10 kilometers. Look for the sign for Aratiatia Road on your left. Turn left onto Aratiatia Road, and follow it until you arrive at Aratiatia Rapids, located at 630 Aratiatia Road.

    If you’re renting a bike in Taupo, start at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Centre and head southeast on Tongariro Street towards Ruapehu Street. Continue straight to Lake Terrace and turn right. Follow Lake Terrace until you reach the roundabout and take the second exit onto State Highway 1 (SH1) towards Rotorua. After about 10 kilometers, turn left onto Aratiatia Road. Ride along Aratiatia Road until you reach the Aratiatia Rapids at 630 Aratiatia Road.
