Take the local bus from Taupo town center. Head to the bus stop located on Tongariro Street. Look for routes that head towards Wairakei. You may need to transfer at the Wairakei Bus Stop. Once you arrive at the Wairakei stop, it's a short 10-minute walk to Huka Prawn Park. Walk along Karetoto Road until you reach the park entrance.

If you're up for a bit of exercise, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Taupo. Head north along Lake Terrace, then turn onto the Wairakei Drive. Continue for about 8 kilometers until you reach Karetoto Road. Turn right onto Karetoto Road, and Huka Prawn Park will be on your left. The ride should take approximately 30-40 minutes.

For the adventurous, you can walk to Huka Prawn Park. Start from Taupo town center and head along Lake Terrace towards Wairakei. It’s a scenic route, but expect a walk of about 1.5 hours. Follow the signs leading to Huka Falls, as Karetoto Road is nearby. Once you reach Karetoto Road, turn left and walk until you see the park entrance.
