From the Taupo town center, start at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Information Centre located at 30 Tongariro Street. Head southeast on Tongariro Street towards Lake Terrace. Turn right onto Lake Terrace (State Highway 1) and follow the road along the lakeshore for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Karetoto Road. At this intersection, turn left onto Karetoto Road and continue for approximately 5 kilometers. Rock'n Ropes will be on your left at the address Karetoto Road, Wairakei, Taupō 3377. Keep an eye out for the signage.

If you have access to a bike, start from the Taupo town center at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Information Centre. Rent a bike if needed. Head southeast on Tongariro Street towards Lake Terrace. Turn right onto Lake Terrace and follow it for around 1.5 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with Karetoto Road, turn left and continue biking for about 5 kilometers.
