From the Taupo town centre, start at the Taupo i-SITE Visitor Information Centre on Tongariro Street. Head west along Tongariro Street, which will turn into Spa Road. Continue walking for about 1.5 km. You will pass several cafes and shops. After approximately 1.5 km, turn left onto Wairakei Drive. Follow Wairakei Drive for about 3 km. You will see signs for Huka Falls along the way. Once you reach the Huka Falls car park, there are walking tracks that lead you to the viewing platforms of the falls.
