Follow the road along the lake until you reach the intersection with Karetoto Road. Turn left onto Karetoto Road and walk north until you reach Huka Honey Hive located at 65 Karetoto Road, Wairakei. The walk is approximately 5.5 kilometers and will take about 1 hour and 15 minutes.

After reaching Lake Terrace, continue cycling north along the lake until you reach Karetoto Road.
