Getting There

    From Tauranga, head to the Tauranga Bus Station located at 2 Willow Street. Take the Baybus route 27 towards Waihi Beach. The bus will take you directly to Waihi Beach, which is approximately a 45-minute ride. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time for departure times. Once you arrive at the Waihi Beach stop, you will be just a short walk away from the beach itself.

  • Train and Bus

    Begin your journey at the Tauranga Railway Station, located at 1A Elizabeth Street. Take the train to the nearest station with a bus connection to Waihi Beach, which is the Te Puke Station. After arriving at Te Puke, exit the train and catch the Baybus route 27 towards Waihi Beach. This combination of train and bus will take you about 1.5 to 2 hours in total. Follow the bus route until you reach the Waihi Beach stop, then walk a few minutes to the beach.
