From Wellington City, head to the Wellington Bus Terminal located at 81-83 Waterloo Quay. Take the number 83 bus heading towards Lower Hutt. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Days Bay' stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk down the path towards the waterfront to reach Days Bay.

Make your way to the Wellington Railway Station at 1 Bunny Street. Take the train heading towards Upper Hutt. Disembark at the 'Lower Hutt' station, which is approximately a 20-minute ride. Once you arrive, exit the station and catch the number 83 bus towards Days Bay, or opt for a 30-minute walk along the scenic route by following the signs to the waterfront.

If you are in the central area of Lower Hutt, you can walk to Days Bay. Start from the Lower Hutt city center and head east towards the river. Follow the riverside path, which is well-marked. Continue along the path until you reach the Days Bay area, which is approximately a 45-minute walk. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the rental services available in Wellington. Head towards the Hutt River Trail, which connects Wellington to Lower Hutt.
