Bus
From Wellington Central, head to the nearest bus stop at the Wellington Railway Station. Take the number 20 bus heading towards Miramar. The bus will take you along the waterfront and provide scenic views. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop named 'Hawker Street'. From there, walk up Hawker Street for about 5 minutes, and you will reach St Gerard's Church and Monastery at 73 Hawker Street.

If you prefer to walk from Wellington Central, start at the Wellington Waterfront and head towards the city center. Walk up to Willis Street and follow it until you reach the junction with Boulcott Street. Turn left into Boulcott Street, then right into Tory Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Cambridge Terrace. Turn left onto Cambridge Terrace and then continue onto Hawker Street. St Gerard's Church and Monastery will be on your right at 73 Hawker Street. The walk will take approximately 30-40 minutes.

For those who wish to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Wellington. Start from the Wellington waterfront and head towards the Basin Reserve. Follow the cycle path that leads you to Mount Victoria. Once you reach the top of Mount Victoria, follow the signs towards Hawker Street. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace. St Gerard's Church and Monastery is located at 73 Hawker Street, where you can lock your bike nearby.
