From any location in West Coast, head towards State Highway 3 (SH3) heading north. Continue on SH3 until you reach New Plymouth. Once in the city, follow signs for Port Taranaki. Turn onto Smart Road and then Hakirau Street. The New Plymouth Coastal Walkway begins at 1 Hakirau Street, on the eastern end side of Bell Block Beach. Parking is available nearby.
