Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Greymouth, which is about 45 minutes away from Pancake Rocks Lookout. Head south on State Highway 6 (SH6) towards Hokitika. After approximately 33 kilometers, take the turnoff to State Highway 73 (SH73) towards the West Coast. Continue on SH6 for about 30 kilometers, then take the turnoff to State Highway 67 (SH67) towards Punakaiki. Follow the signs for Pancake Rocks and Blowholes Walk, which will lead you directly to the parking area. There is no entry fee for the park.

Public Transportation
If you’re using public transportation, take a bus from Greymouth to Punakaiki, which is serviced by the West Coast Shuttle or Kiwi Experience bus services. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Punakaiki, you can walk to the Pancake Rocks Lookout, which is about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. The walk is well-signposted and takes you through beautiful coastal scenery. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited.
