Getting There

    From West Coast, head southeast on State Highway 6 (SH6) towards Hokitika. After approximately 25 kilometers, take the exit to merge onto State Highway 73 (SH73) towards Christchurch. Continue for about 150 kilometers until you reach the intersection with State Highway 1 (SH1) near Christchurch. Merge onto SH1 heading north, and follow the signs for Wellington. After about 300 kilometers, take the exit onto State Highway 2 (SH2) towards Lower Hutt. Continue on SH2 until you reach the intersection with SH1 again. Take the exit onto SH1 towards Wellington. Follow SH1 until you reach the exit for Mākara Road. Turn onto Mākara Road and continue until you see Opau Road. Turn left onto Opau Road, and the West Wind wind farm will be on your left at 140 Opau Road, Mākara.
