If you're traveling by car, you can start your journey from Gatlinburg, TN. Head south on US-441 S for about 2 miles. Look for the signs directing you to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Once you enter the park, continue on the road for approximately 7 miles until you reach the Alum Cave Trailhead parking area. There is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle, valid for the entire day. From the parking lot, the trailhead is clearly marked.
