From the center of Ålesund, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on St. Olavs gate. Take bus number 601 towards 'Ellingsøy'. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. Stay on the bus until you reach the 'Ellingsøy' stop. Once you get off, walk along Kvalsteinvegen for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Ellingsøy church at Kvalsteinvegen 2.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike rental shops in Ålesund. Head out from the city center towards Nørvasundet. Follow the coastal road to Ellingsøy, which is approximately a 15 km ride. The route is scenic, taking you along the water's edge. When you reach Ellingsøy, look for Kvalsteinvegen, where the church is located at number 2.

For those who enjoy walking, start from the center of Ålesund and head towards the coast. Walk along the waterfront promenade towards Nørvasundet. Once you reach the bridge leading to Ellingsøy, cross it and continue straight until you reach Kvalsteinvegen. Turn left on Kvalsteinvegen and walk for about 10 minutes to arrive at Ellingsøy church, which will be on your right.
