If you are driving from Nizwa, head northwest on Route 15 towards Al Hamra. After approximately 40 km, take the exit towards Al Hamra. Continue straight until you reach the town of Al Hamra. From Al Hamra, follow the signs for Jebel Shams. The road will lead you through scenic landscapes. Keep an eye out for the turn-off towards Jebel Shams, which is about 20 km from Al Hamra. The road becomes steeper and winding as you approach the summit, so drive carefully. Parking is available at the top.

Take a bus from Nizwa to Al Hamra, which operates regularly throughout the day. The bus ride takes about 45 minutes and costs approximately 1 Omani Rial.
