If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-205 N from your current location. Take exit 21A to merge onto I-84 E toward The Dalles. Continue on I-84 E for about 20 miles. Take exit 28 for Crown Point Hwy/Historic Columbia River Hwy. Turn left onto Historic Columbia River Hwy (also known as Highway 30). Follow this road for approximately 6 miles until you reach Rooster Rock State Park. There is a parking fee of $5 for day use, so be prepared with cash or a card.

Begin your journey by taking the MAX Light Rail Blue Line from any station in Clackamas County toward Hillsboro. Transfer at the Pioneer Courthouse/SW 6th Ave station to the MAX Red Line. Ride until you reach the Gateway Transit Center. From there, catch the Columbia Gorge Express bus, which runs daily to various destinations in the Columbia River Gorge, including Rooster Rock State Park.
