Car
If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the town of Corbett, OR. From downtown Portland, take I-84 E for about 20 miles and then take exit 18 for Corbett. Continue on E Historic Columbia River Hwy for about 3 miles. Look for the signs for Latourell Falls. The parking lot is located at Latourell Falls Park, just off the highway. There is no parking fee, but the area can get crowded on weekends.

Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the MAX Light Rail from downtown Portland to the Gateway Transit Center. From there, catch the Columbia Gorge Express bus (check schedule and availability) which travels to the Columbia River Gorge area. Disembark at the Latourell Falls stop. Be sure to check the bus schedule in advance as service may be limited on weekends and holidays. There is a fare for the bus, typically around $5.

Once you arrive at Latourell Falls Park, you will find a well-maintained trail leading to Upper Latourell Falls. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles round trip and is suitable for most fitness levels. Follow the trail signs that indicate the direction to the Upper Falls. The trail can be steep in places, so be sure to wear appropriate footwear.
