Continue on Highway 26 for approximately 50 miles. Look for signs directing you to Little Zigzag Falls. The falls are located near the Mt. Hood National Forest. There is a parking area available at the trailhead, but be aware that there may be a small parking fee, typically around $5.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a Greyhound or local bus service to reach the nearest major town, which is Government Camp. From there, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to get to Little Zigzag Falls, as public transportation does not directly service the falls. Expect to pay approximately $15-25 for the rideshare, depending on demand.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the parking area near Little Zigzag Falls, you will find a clearly marked trailhead. The hike to the falls is relatively short and easy, making it suitable for families and casual walkers. The trail is about 0.5 miles one way and takes approximately 15-30 minutes to reach the falls.
