Getting There

  • Car

    From Skardu, take the Skardu-Chilam road towards Deosai National Park. Continue driving until you reach the Deosai National Park entrance. Once inside the park, follow the main road through the park while enjoying the scenery. After approximately 30 kilometers, look for signs directing you towards Chunda. Turn onto the road leading to Chunda, which is a small village. Drive carefully as the roads can be narrow and winding. The destination is located at coordinates 35.3297766, 75.4923847.

  • Public Transportation

    From Skardu, you can take a shared jeep to Deosai National Park. These jeeps depart from the main bazaar area. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Chunda. The journey takes about 2-3 hours, and the cost is around 1000-1500 PKR per person. Once you reach the Deosai National Park entrance, ask the driver to drop you off at the closest point to Chunda. From there, you may need to walk or hire a local guide to take you the remaining distance to Chunda.

    If you are already within Deosai National Park and enjoy hiking, you can trek to Chunda. Start from the Deosai Plateau and follow the footpaths leading towards Chunda.
