Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Fairmount, head west on Fairmount Avenue towards 22nd Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with the Schuylkill River Trail. Turn right onto the trail and follow it northbound along the river. You will pass several scenic views and park benches along the way. After about 0.6 miles, you will reach the entrance to Fairmount Park, which is marked by a large sign and a parking area. The park is open daily until 10 PM.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    From Fairmount, walk to the nearest bus stop at 20th Street and Fairmount Avenue. Take the SEPTA Bus #33 heading towards the 'Manayunk' route. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and disembark at the stop for 'Reservoir Drive.' From there, it’s a short 5-minute walk directly into Fairmount Park, following the signs leading to the park entrance.

  • Public Transportation - Subway and Bus Combination

    Walk to the Fairmount subway station located at 8th Street and Fairmount Avenue. Take the Broad Street Line (Orange Line) southbound towards NRG Station. Get off at the 15th Street Station and transfer to the Market-Frankford Line (Blue Line) towards 69th Street. Disembark at the 69th Street stop. From there, catch the SEPTA Bus #33 heading towards 'Manayunk.' After about 15 minutes, get off at the 'Reservoir Drive' stop. You will then need to walk about 5 minutes to reach Fairmount Park.
