For those who prefer public transportation, you can take the bus. Head to the nearest bus stop on Fairmount Avenue. Catch the Route 15 bus heading towards the 'Westmoreland St & 4th St' direction. Stay on the bus for about 5 stops and get off at the 22nd Street & Fairmount Avenue stop. From there, it’s a short walk (about 5 minutes) to the penitentiary. Make sure to check the SEPTA website or app for current bus schedules. A single ride fare is $2.50.

Another option is to take the trolley. Walk to the nearest trolley stop on Fairmount Avenue. Board the Route 10 trolley heading towards '17th Street & Girard Avenue'.
