Walking
From the North Shore area, head southeast towards the Fort Duquesne Bridge. Walk across the bridge, which will take you directly into downtown Pittsburgh. Once you have crossed the bridge, continue straight onto Commonwealth Place. The Fort Pitt Block House will be located at 601 Commonwealth Pl, Building C, on your left.

Public Transport - Bus
If you prefer to use public transport, walk to the nearest bus stop located at North Shore Station. Board the Port Authority bus #5 or #6 heading towards downtown Pittsburgh. Get off at the stop closest to the Fort Pitt Block House, which is near the intersection of Commonwealth Place and Fort Pitt Blvd. From there, walk a short distance on Commonwealth Place to reach the Block House.

Another option is to take the Light Rail Trolley. Head to the North Shore T station, which is accessible from many locations in North Shore. Take the trolley towards the Station Square and get off at the First Avenue station. From there, walk towards Commonwealth Place; the Fort Pitt Block House will be just a short walk away along Commonwealth Place.
